In this acquisition we have constructed a 1/2 mile look out trail and bridge. This trail winds through a mature beech forest as well as a marsh and stream.
The floor of parts of this forest is covered with a carpet of wildflowers, such as trout lily, dwarf ginsing, ferns, and solomon plume. There is a huge white oak nearly 200 years old that stands guard near the marshy area.
Black Bear and gray fox frequent this area as well as pileated woodpeckers, turkey, and other forest birds.
