Tranquility Farm (Limestone Forest)
Location:

Allamuchy (Warren County)

Acreage:

125.4 Acres

Acquired:

Closed in 2001. Fee Simple Transaction. Partnering with NJDEP Green Acres, The Nature Conservancy, and Warren County.

Features:
Abandoned railroad tracks slice through this piece of land making it a natural walking trail. Several farm fields with scattered chunks of forest are featured here.

Along the forest edges there are many breeding birds such as indigo bunting, baltimore and orchard oriole, yellow-billed cuckoo, several species of warblers and red-tailed hawk.

This is part of a large greenway connecting thousands of acres of Allamuchy Mountain State Park and the many acres of preserved farmlands to the west.
