The majority of Ridge and Valley Conservancy's land protection projects are focused on donated land and conservation easements. In order for Ridge and Valley Conservancy to purchase land out-right, large efforts in public and private fundraising are required. If a property has exceptional conservation value, and there is significant public support, Ridge and Valley Conservancy may consider such a purchase.

The Land Trust Alliance is another good source for protection information.
