Carrazonne Tract (Limestone Forest)

Hardwick (Warren County)

Acquired:

Conservation Easement. Closed in May 2002. Partnering with Hardwick Township, NJDEP Green Acres Program

Features:
This mature limestone forest has sinkhole ponds with many breeding amphibians as well as fern laden limestone outcroppings.

This is a prime forest for breeding scarlet tanager, ovenbird, work thrush, pileated woodpecker, red-eye vireo, yellow-throated vireo, black & white warbler and many other passerines. Black bear, bobcat and coyote can be found here.
